چکیده

Abstract Background Fungal stem end rot disease of pitaya caused by Alternaria alternata is one the most destructive diseases in Binh Thuan province, Vietnam. This study aimed to assess antagonistic effects some endophytic bacteria isolated from weed plant ( Echinochloa colonum ) against A. . Results A total 19 were and 5 them presented vitro activity alternata. Of five, strain EC80 significantly inhibited pathogenic growth with a mean inhibition diameter 11.88 ± 0.08 mm, while other four (C79, EC83, EC90, EC97) showed weak inhibition. Interestingly, combination EC79 reduced more biomass fungi than single did. positive results for amylase, indole acetic acid (IAA), biofilm production, whereas capabilities IAA production negative amylase production. In addition, combined filtrate non-antifungal on biocontrol tests vitro, indicating that cells played role defending pathogen. Moreover, both isolates increased seedling control. Conclusions The suggest those two strains had potential be used as agent More studies should done future evaluate their efficiency under field conditions.

Debaryomyces hanseniZopf isolated from the fructoplane of apples were found to be effective as biocontrol agent against rot of papaya caused by Ulocladium. chartarum(Pr.) Simm. The ability of D. hansenii to prevent infection of U. chartarum was lost when the antagonist cells were killed by autoclaving. Cell free culture filtrates of antagonist were unable to prevent disease incidence. Efficacy ...

Antagonistic activity of Streptomyces gresiofuscus PTCC1628 against isolated Gram negative bacteria from Urinary Tract Infections

Antibiotics are the best known products of actinomycete. Over 5,000 antibiotics have been identified from the cultures of Gram positive and Gram-negative organisms, and filamentous fungi, but only about 100 antibiotics have commercially been used to treat human, animal and plant diseases. The genus, Streptomycete, is responsible for the formation of more than 60% of known antibiotics. Bacteri...
